Goodbye, Seattle ... Hellooooooo Las Vegas!

I've decided to change my first marathon: I've heard enough horror stories about Seattle in late November: cold, rain, hills, darkness.

Instead, I give you ....
LAS VEGAS!

How can anybody resist this?
Experience the rush of adrenaline on the Start line in front of Mandalay Bay when the gun goes off and a spectacular fireworks display set to Elvis’ “Viva Las Vegas” rocks in this inaugural event.

In other news, my leg is feeling just dandy. I ran twice at the weekend, and I'm feeling all fired up! Check out Sarah, and Naomi - who both kicked running ass at the weekend - for posts that make me want to get out and pound the pavement.

That looks great!! It will give you a nice break from the NW rain in the winter...I bet the "post-race beverages" will be a little more exciting, too!

I was thinking (if hubby gets a job in Seattle) that November 2006 might have me running the Seattle Marathon...cold, hills, rain, darkness might have me re-considering that!

Nonononno don't reconsider: you'll have lots of running companions who will see you through!

Glad to see that you were able to get out there and run...isn't it amazing how much better you feel! Injuries are good for one thing: reminding us to be appreciative! I was definitely starting to take the *running thing* for granted until my knee started acting up...

And thanks for the shout out and link :-)
