Perspective
Ticket to Shannon via Newark, leaving 2 September: Check
I visited Ireland for the first time in September of last year so your plan makes me envious and melancholy and joyfully reminicsent!! I can only imagine you feel 1000 times moreso!
Your 2nd stress fracture makes me sad - but you can totally see it through, and when you come out the other side, there will be more running again!
I think that you should enjoy your trip and worry about the stress fractures when you get back. Don't let them interupt your fun vacation if you can help it!
I know it's not the end of the world and I know you're going to be okay, but I still can't quite express how sorry I am that you're going through this.
I see you that were really speaking from experience in your comment ... I'm sorry that you're injured, but as you say I'm sure Ireland will be a consolation!
riona, take lots of pics of your trip. and may your stress fracture heal, heal, heal. luckily vegas is months and months away! glad to have found your blog!
Just got back from Achill yesterday afternoon. Didn't get a chance to visit the Boley House, but that gives me something to look forward to next time. Probably go back next summer with my bike and a backpack and do the hostel thing.

That sounds like an amazing trip you have lined up!
BTW, thanks for dropping by my journal.
Oh no? A different leg? Yikes. I hope you enjoy your trip and think lots of positive thoughts about returning to running when you are better.
Well booooo for a second stress fracture!
Maybe a nice trip like that will help things heal quickly.
Crap.
Sounds like you have the right attitude, though. Are you going to take up a different form of exercise for a while?

Oh. Dear.
